The Water Pebble – Cutting down your Water Consumption

| August 11, 2010 | 0 Comments

It is very easy to be in a shower and lose track of time, unless you are one of those always in a rush type of person. While there are shower timers and clocks, this is a more innovative idea. It is the Water Pebble which is place near the drain. The first time it is used, it ‘memorizes’ how much time you have taken in the shower. Its lights flash from green to amber to red, like traffic lights.

Subsequently it will warn you, when the amber light comes that you are half way through and red, when you should stop, in case you do lose track of time. It will also slowly reduce the time when the light will flash red. Soon, you will get used to it and start taking shorter showers, thus saving on water and heating bills. You will also be doing your bit to be environmentally friendly.

Obviously, you will need a separate one for the other showers in the house. A great gadget for kids and teens, who seem to spend forever in the bathroom. Manufactured by Paul Priestman from design company Priestmangoode, this nifty little gadget lasts about four to six months before needing a battery change. However, you should be used to it by then. And all its parts are recyclable, making it even more green.
