Rewave – Water Purifier and Desalinating Device

| April 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Imagine that you are at sea or in a coastal area and there is no potable drinking water available. But it is not a case of water, water everywhere, not a drop to drink. Because, thanks to this incredible handy Rewave, you can convert sea water into drinking water.

Designed by Yu-Hong Chen, this device not only desalinates the water but is eco-friendly because it recycles the water into drinking water and does not even consume any energy to do so. It uses wave power as a source of energy.

Using reverse osmosis, the sea water goes in from the aperture at the bottom and after the desalinating process is over, comes out from a pipe at the top. The filters, which need to be changed once they are dirty, are also made from recycled materials. So you can theoretically get a pure and limitless supply of drinking water from the sea.
