The Standby Buster

Everybody is aware that remotes all work by using vampire or phantom power. All those little red lights which are present on the air conditioning/heating units, fans, entertainment units and any other gadgets which use remotes consume power even if it is in minuscule amounts.

Slowly, over a period of time, power is used up and your carbon footprint increases. However, if you switch off the gadget or device from the main plug, you will save energy and money. But it is too inconvenient to keep on getting up and doing this especially if the button is not in sight and easily accessible. You may be an environmentally friendly consumer, but it may simply not be practical to do so every time.

The Standby Buster is a remote to beat all remotes – it cuts off energy at the source. Consisting of two parts, a socket and a remote you have to use the socket to plug in all your gadgets – you put the socket into the power switch and use that to power the four way switch (which is what most people use) to plug in three-four gadgets at the same time.

With the help of this remote, the power can then be switched off. As vampire power uses up to 7 percent electricity with current gadget usage is slated to go up to as much as 45 percent in the next decade, you stand to save a lot of power and a fair bit of money as well.
