The Solar Bike – Fujin

There are many places the world over where bikes are in use, whether western countries in Europe or third world countries. Bikes are used for many purposes even in advanced countries. Japanese manufacturer, Hama Zero has launched its new solar bike, Fujin.
It is an electric bike which is solar powered and is aptly called Solar Bike Fujin. It features solar panels which are on a box like structure at the back of the bike and give the effect of wings. These panels harness the solar energy to power the 940W/h lithium-ion battery which allows the bike to reach a top speed of 45 mph and run for 137 miles on a full charge.
This electric cum solar bike is clean, green and eco-friendly. It can also be charged on a home power socket at a very low cost. The bike is extremely lightweight, weighing only 42 kilos and comes with low rolling resistance wheels.
