Solar Lit Blinds

Many people use vertical or Venetian blinds instead of curtains in their homes; blinds are used even more in offices, where they give a clean, uncluttered look to the environment. They are easy to open and close, so if you want the room fairly dark, you just have to close them.

Now these blinds are being made with LED lights embedded in them on one side. The other side of the blinds – the side which face the sun has solar cells and these get charged by the sunlight. When the blinds are closed the light come on. The blinds have yet to hit the market.

These lights are creatively in the form of lamps, chandeliers and other designs which illuminate a room and also give a decorative look to it. As they use solar power, they are environmentally friendly and you don’t need to use electricity to light up your home or workplace. They are not going to give lots of light, but will give some ambient light.
