Outdoor LED Lights Which Run on Solar Power

| February 24, 2009 | 2 Comments

For the majority of people who live in houses with lawns and gardens, patios and backyards, outdoor lighting is a must. Otherwise, come evening, and everything looks dark and gloomy. Most lights, even if you use environmentally friendly lights, do take up power, and do not help in electricity conservation. But these eco-friendly lights do.

Firstly, they are LED lights which give out bright light. Then they use free and clean energy from the sun to illuminate the dark. You can even set them to give out short bursts of light or continuous light – in fact, they have eight settings you can use. These lights (along with lights in your house) will also protect against intruders, as they will give the impression that an empty house is occupied.

They work on solar batteries which are charged by the sun. These lights ‘sense’ the darkness and then come on, so no more ‘forgetting’ to switch off lights and wasting power! And they are reasonably small, so you have to buy them in sets which you can put at suitable distances in your outdoor areas. These eco-friendly lights require minimal maintenance and once bought, don’t cost in terms of energy.
