The Baylis Revolution Media Player
Remember a time (you may have seen these in old movies) when a hand cranked gramophone was the gadget which was used to play 78 rpm vinyl records. At that time, nobody thought that the device was ‘green’ or ‘environmentally friendly’. But today all hand cranked gadgets come under that category, because they do not use electricity.
The Eco Media Revolution player has been named as one of Time magazine’s six best green gadgets. It marries modern technology with old, as it works on hand cranking powder while being an mp2 player, radio, phone charger, LED flashlight. If that is not enough, it also has a built-in photo album and an ebook reader.
This eco-friendly gadget supports most music formats and can even handle movie formats. On its own it can store 2000 songs on 4 gb internal memory. If you put in extra SD card, it can be expanded to 16 gb memory. One minute of winding will give you 40 minutes of radio play and 45 minutes of mp3 play.
