Fit-PC-2 is touted as the world’s smallest and greenest computer – it is so small that it is the size of a floppy disc and it uses only 10 watts of power. It stands to reason that it uses less of plastics and other toxic elements which go into making a full sized computer. As for being eco-friendly, it uses only 10 percent of the power that a computer does. It also comes with the Energy Star certification.

So how effective is it? It comes with

  • Intel Atom Processor, 1.1GHz / 1.6GH
  • 1GB DDR2 RAM
  • 160GB HDD
  • HD-video Capable (1080p)
  • Excellent connectivity
  • Tiny – Just 10 x 11 x 2.7 cm
  • Long-life availability (5 Years+)
  • 7” USB monitor (available separately)
  • Wi-Fi
  • 6 USB ports

Obviously it is not the same as a high end desktop, but it can handle most simple office tasks like word, email, web browsing, but it won’t be great for watching movies or doing video editing.

As a tiny desktop it is adequate to do the work and it will save a lot of power as well. At a price range of between $245 and $400, depending on the configuration, this green gadget is environmentally friendly.
