Samsung EcoGreen Hard Drive
Samsung has launched its EcoGreen F3EG Hard Disk Drive which has a huge two terabyte capacity. This is the largest capacity of all available HDDs which is meant for desktops. It has four 500 GB sections, making up two terabytes, and is more power efficient.
The Samsung EcoGreen F3EG Hard Disk Drive is environmentally friendly as it uses Samsung’s EcoTriangleTM technology to provide eco-friendly components, using low-power and low-noise operation technology. It does not use halogen compounds and brominated flame retardant; it is made from eco-friendly materials and meets all environmental regulations.
It also uses 40 percent less power in idle mode and 10 percent in reading writing mode. In a comparison test Samsung’s EcoGreen series has got the top rank in power consumption efficiency from IDEMA Japan for the last two years.
