Western Digital has just hit the market with its first 2 TB hard disk drive which is eco-friendly. Compared to Seagate’s 1.5 TB HD which are not functioning well, WD has put in 33% more space in its 2TB HDD. The HDD, which comes under its green line, works at 5400 rpm, which is slower than other hard drives, but it does save power.
It also comes with a 32 MB cache and the traditional SATA 3 GB interface. The product costs approximately $ 250. Western Digital has now got the highest capacity HDD and computer geeks are all ready to lap it up. It sound levels are also less than that of another HDD. It is available in 1, 1.5 and 2 TB. The competition is among Western Digital, Samsung, Hitachi and though Seagate was the first to get into TB HDDs, now WD is leading the pack.
So, you get a massive hard drive that is designed for energy conscious computer users.
