LG Pop (GD510) – An Eco-Friendly Mobile Phone
The LG GD510 is a sophisticated mobile phone with a 3” full touch screen, 3 megapixel camera, and MP3 player, along with a web browser. It comes with a solar-battery cover that uses the power of the sun to charge the phone.
Apart from saving energy during the day, it is a positive for the environmentally friendly consumer. Ten minutes under the sun provides up to 2 minutes 15 seconds of talk time or up to 180 minutes of standby time.
It also comes with features like Eco-tree and Eco-calculator in the phone’s CO2 menu via which people can check how much they have reduced CO2 emissions by using the solar cell battery. The packaging is made from recycled paper and printing is done using soy ink, making it even more eco-friendly.
Its green credentials are enhanced because it does not contain any polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and free of BFR (brominated flame retardants) and CFR (chlorinated flame retardants) almost up to 99.9 percent.
