Toshiba’s Eco-Friendly Hi-Tech Bidet

Toshiba manufactures many appliances and consumer durable – its eco-friendly hi-tech toilet seat cum bidet is only one of them. In the form of a toilet seat with a water dispenser, the bidet uses 55 percent less power than other similar devices, heating the water only when required.

The unique design of the toilet seat is also designed to prevent heat loss. It comes with a variable fan to eliminate fan, so it deodorizes at the same time. The SCS-S510 model by Toshiba comes with an automatic opening and closing lid.

Green Funerals – An Eco-Friendly Burial

Death may be a morbid subject, but it is an immutable fact. Now that the baby boomers are getting older – they are the ones who started the eco-friendly movement – they are also looking at greener options to traditional burials.

Normal, traditional funerals need formaldehyde in embalming (if required). Then there is wood which is used for coffins and stone for memorial stone for memorials. In those cases where there is cremation, wood is not an eco-friendly way to burn the body.

In Britain 220 woodland cemetries have come up to provide a more environmentally friendly alternative. Natural burial ground provide green open spaces which are better than bare grounds. Instead of headstones there will be radio frequency identification systems attached to the ground or pegged to memorials.

Everybody is aware that remotes all work by using vampire or phantom power. All those little red lights which are present on the air conditioning/heating units, fans, entertainment units and any other gadgets which use remotes consume power even if it is in minuscule amounts.

Slowly, over a period of time, power is used up and your carbon footprint increases. However, if you switch off the gadget or device from the main plug, you will save energy and money. But it is too inconvenient to keep on getting up and doing this especially if the button is not in sight and easily accessible. You may be an environmentally friendly consumer, but it may simply not be practical to do so every time.

The prototype can reach speeds of up to 150 mph, satisfying the rush bikers seek when speeding. It is slated to race in the TTXGP zero emissions grand prix in June and this super bike is completely green. It can reach such speeds because of its extra large battery.

Epson’s New Environmentally Friendly Printer

At sometime or the other we all get fed up with our printers. First they changed the designs, then they decreased the ink in the cartridges, making them more expensive to use. Ever so often, even you always use brand new company refills, the printer just stops printing. Just think of the damage to the environment all this toxic computer waste does.

Now Epson has come with a replaceable printer. Yes, you don’t change the cartridges, you replace the whole printer. No more fiddling with replacement cartridges, getting your hands dirty, getting papers with ink on them, etc. Once the printer has finished all the printing it is capable of doing, you just take it to the store and get a new one, paying something extra, naturally.
