Green Funerals – An Eco-Friendly Burial

Death may be a morbid subject, but it is an immutable fact. Now that the baby boomers are getting older – they are the ones who started the eco-friendly movement – they are also looking at greener options to traditional burials.
Normal, traditional funerals need formaldehyde in embalming (if required). Then there is wood which is used for coffins and stone for memorial stone for memorials. In those cases where there is cremation, wood is not an eco-friendly way to burn the body.
In Britain 220 woodland cemetries have come up to provide a more environmentally friendly alternative. Natural burial ground provide green open spaces which are better than bare grounds. Instead of headstones there will be radio frequency identification systems attached to the ground or pegged to memorials.
