The New Environmentally Friendly Toyota Prius
Among car manufacturers who are jumping on the green bandwagon to appeal to the eco-aware consumer is Toyota. The Prius is Toyota’s latest offering in its bigger and more spacious avatar. It gives better mileage and is more fuel efficient.
This third generation hybrid car is a medium sized sedan, which can run 50 miles on a gallon of fuel, much better than its other models. It also has a more power 1.8 liter, 4 cylinder engine which packs a punch. The Prius holds a record 1000 patents for its car for innovations; this one has a sliding solar sun roof which comes with solar panels to improve circulation and ventilation and reduce the load on the air-conditioner (and on fuel consumption) in the car.
The Prius is considered one of the most efficient cars on the roads. With its latest offering Toyota is targeting sales of one million annually – that means there will be so many more people contributing to the environment.
